It has been but only a week, but I have endured a 14 ½ hr voyage across the Midwest, survived a tornado, and lived to see my second day of law school. What else could I have possibly wanted? Well… I did also get to visit the notorious Memorial Stadium which holds a current and ongoing NCAA record for most consecutive sellouts which began in 1962, now totaling 311 in a row.
I also was able to make it through orientation with my fellow IL's. There are 130 of us, 70% of which are Nebraska natives.
Oh, I moved into my new apartment! I spent $1.00 furnishing a twin sized bed, a desk, chair, and a dresser. Not Bad!
Needless to say, it has been quite the week! My entire life seems to have been flipped upside down, but I am grateful for the experience of being here, and know that this is where I am to be at this time. Thanks for the support from those of you who have knowingly, and unknowingly given it. I love you all!
Hooray! I am so happy to see that things are going well!! I'm happy you started a blog too, I can't wait to see and read about all your adventures!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck. I hope things continue to go well for you. We are happy and excited for you with this new adventure!
ReplyDeleteI am excited to be able to blog stalk you! This will be fun. I just am a little offended...why is there not a picture of us on your wall? We have numerous ones to choose from. Particularly our Homecoming photo... ? You can pick which one you like most. :)
ReplyDeleteCal,
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that 70% are Nebraska babies. Your chances of meeting one to marry for residency just went SKY HIGH. Having your blog is so great. I loved this. Please keep posting.
